Prehistoric Dragon

Description

**I fixed his tail. It was REALLY bothering me...**

Two days worth of work...FINISHED. This is my rendition of a prehistoric dragon from the Cretaceous Era. I plan on doing a full dragon-evolution book, and so I figured I start with the earliest. This is a male, and how you can tell is by his horns and distinct rings on his wings. Females have neither horns, nor rings on their wings. Before the mating season, males pack on the pounds, easily reaching thirty tons in just a few short months. Their colors darken and their horns grow to extreme lengths. After breeding season, the males horns shed (rather like that of deer) and they lose weight once more. Females live in small groups and rear their young in protected swamplands where larger predators cannot find them.
